Vendor Spotlight: Isabel Nayet

Today, we’re excited to spotlight Isabel Nayet! A local Winnipeg makeup and hair artist whose work speaks in soft glam, and precise detail!

Who are you, what you do and who you serve?

My name is Isabel Nayet, I love to travel and take a pilates class on my time off. I am a luxury hair and makeup artist based in Winnipeg. I specialize In providing destination bridal services in Canada and abroad for the brides who love to feel their best elevated version of themselves. I love creating timeless looks.

What services do you offer?

I offer hairstyling and makeup services for brides, as well as blonding, colouring and hair extension services in my studio. I even have hair extensions available for rent for my brides who want to really invest in their hair. For those who would love to learn, I offer 1-1 makeup or blowout lessons. 

How did you get started in the wedding industry, and what inspired you to become hair and makeup artist?

I always loved the fashion industry since I was a child and I was inspired by Mario Dedivanovic as he was doing Kim Kardashian’s makeup for her Italian wedding. I always believed that one day that would be me. Now I can say I’ve finally outdone that dream by accomplishing 3 Italian destination weddings in my first destination year. Getting into the hair industry as well was not expected but I wouldn’t have achieved what I have without going that route. 

 What do you enjoy most about working in the wedding industry and serving couples on their special day?

I enjoy spending time with the bridal party and being a part of that amazing energy on the day of. That special relationship I have with each of my brides is something I will always hold dear to my heart.  

What do you believe is the most important consideration when couples are choosing a hair, and make up artist?

I think an artist whose personality and style reflects who you are and your own personal style when it comes to hair and makeup is crucial to being 100% happy with your look.

What is the ideal timeline for couples to book your services in advance of their wedding day?

A lot of information you see on the internet is quite false concerning this question, you’ll see a lot of people suggest 12-9 months out. The reality is, if you want to secure a specific artist you should be doing so at least 18-12 months out. It is always terrible for me to turn people away because their date was booked a year before they inquired. I will say that, 2027 brides are on the ball this year, more than i've ever seen before.  

 What is the best piece of advice you would offer to couples planning their wedding?

Hire a wedding coordinator, even if it’s just for the day of. They Take care of everything for you on your wedding day so you can have a peaceful morning. I see a lot of brides trying to save money and not investing in a planner, and you can really see how the energy is different on the day of compared to a bride that has a planner. 

Can you share your favourite wedding trend or design idea that you're currently excited about?

My favourite wedding trend when it comes to weddings is very bronzy glowing skin with a pop of bright pink blush with high buns, French twists and bouncy blowouts.

I am also really loving all the silver accessories and decor paired with warm green accents when it comes to wedding aesthetics.

How do you stand out?

Whether you book me for your hair or makeup or both, you can be sure that I will be the one taking care of you, the bride. I will be communicating with you throughout the entire process. 

Being able to do hair and makeup has been an amazing asset for me and allowed me to book out 4 destination weddings in the past 12 months. And to think I never really considered doing hair when I first wanted to become an artist…

Anything else you would like to mention?

I am a firm believer that investing in your education is investing in your future. This is why I am always investing in my hair and makeup education in order to be on top of new trends and techniques and ensure the quality of my services.
