Anika and Ken’s backyard wedding was nothing short of magical, filled with heartfelt details, personal touches, and a trendy vibe that made it unforgettable. From Anika’s stunning handmade dress to their cozy backyard ceremony and reception, every detail reflected their love story and unique style.
The day began with a jaw-dropping reveal of Anika’s wedding dress, handcrafted by her mom. This dress was a work of art, blending timeless elegance with modern flair. The structured corset bodice had a scoop neckline adorned with delicate pearl beading, adding a hint of sparkle. The textured fabric lent a vintage feel, while the full skirt, complete with a high slit, brought sophistication and drama, especially with its flowing train. Paired with a classic veil, platform heels, and a pastel bouquet, Anika’s look was both romantic and contemporary...she looked absolutely radiant!
Their backyard ceremony was as sweet as it was stylish. At the beginning of the aisle, two vintage pillars held white vases filled with fresh blooms, along with a basket of fans to keep guests cool. The altar was framed by a triangular arch and two pillars adorned with pastel floral arrangements that added a lively touch to the scene. In a special moment, Ken’s sister officiated the ceremony, making it even more meaningful.
Anika also showcased her creative flair through handmade signage that added personality to the day. Each sign featured trendy, handwritten lettering and playful squiggles, including a welcome sign, ceremony guide, order of events, signature drink sign, and a seating chart displayed with wicker flower baskets.
Another standout detail was the floating flowers in the pool, artistically arranged in a clear umbrella by Vanessa from Gossamer Flowers, which added a whimsical touch to the decor.
The reception took place under a beautifully decorated tent. The centerpieces were simple yet lovely, with white vases filled with fresh flowers and accents of dried fruit. For a unique touch, the table numbers featured photos of the couple at the ages they were, giving guests a glimpse into their lives over the years. Each place setting included vintage plates, gold cutlery, a knotted white napkin, and handwritten-style menu cards with blue bow details. Thoughtfully, Anika and Ken left each guest a personalized note, making everyone feel special.
Under bistro lights, the couple shared their first dance outdoors, creating a magical moment under the stars. Anika then changed into a fun party dress that perfectly matched the lively reception vibe. The short dress, featuring a halter neckline, a fitted bodice, and flared skirt, had a satin-like finish and was paired with sneakers... ideal for dancing the night away in comfort and style.
A huge thank you to the vendors who brought Anika and Ken’s vision to life and made this day beautiful and unforgettable.
