A Garden-Inspired Wedding at Lily Stone Gardens

Some weddings feel like stepping straight into a garden in full bloom and Julia and Matteo's day at Lily Stone Gardens was exactly that.

A Seamless Rain Backup Plan

The forecast asked us to make a call, and thanks to our pre-planning, it was an easy one. We always build a fully-designed rain backup plan for every couple, so the decision on the day of is calm, clear, and completely stress-free...no scrambling, just a confident pivot that lets everyone stay present.

While we always hope not to need it, this day was proof that a thoughtful plan B can be every bit as breathtaking. We moved the ceremony indoors, and it turned out absolutely gorgeous.

The Ceremony

Julia and Matteo skipped a first look, saving that first glance for the moment it mattered most...as Julia walked down the aisle. The emotion on Matteo's face as he saw his bride for the very first time was pure magic.

They exchanged vows in front of the venue's stunning stone fireplace, framed by an antique arched mirror and a lush floral installation, with a canopy of trailing greenery and blooms hanging overhead. Blush and mauve garden roses, peach carnations, lavender accents, chamomile, and trailing amaranthus spilled across the mantel and hearth, layered with pillar candles and slender pink tapers for a warm, intimate glow. As Julia made her way down the aisle, Allan Palmer played live music on his violin, making the moment even more dreamy and romantic.

The Reception

The reception carried that same garden-meets-candlelight magic. Beneath the greenery-draped ceiling and chandeliers, low centerpieces in blush, peach, cream, and pale yellow ran down the harvest tables atop dusty blue runners, accented with pink tapers and tall glass hurricanes.

The place settings were soft and refined detail: gold-rimmed chargers, gold flatware, dusty blue goblets, blue napkins, and custom menus finished with a wax seal. Even the bar sign got the garden treatment, complete with the couple's signature cocktails a Captain & Cola for him and an Aperol Spritz for her.

In a sweet twist on tradition, Julia and Matteo skipped the usual dessert table in favour of an individual cake for each guest table, giving every table its own little moment.

A Beautiful Day

A heartfelt thank you to all the incredible vendors who brought this vision to life. And to Julia and Matteo: it was an honour to be part of your celebration. Wishing you a lifetime of love as beautiful as your wedding day!
