A Modern Winter Wedding at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights

Tara and Caleb’s wedding at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights was modern, refined, and intentionally minimal...letting the gorgeous architecture do the talking!


The Wedding

The ceremony unfolded beneath the museum’s glass atrium with soft natural light, soft white florals, and a design that complemented the space rather than competing with it. The result was elegant, calm, and visually striking in its simplicity.


As the evening transitioned into the reception, the atmosphere shifted into something warmer and more intimate...candlelight, glass details, and a soft glow that carried through dinner and speeches.



A Few Standout Moments

For their guest book, Tara and Caleb had guests sign vinyl records. This tied into their love of music and their personalities, creating something personal, meaningful, and far more memorable than a traditional guest book.


Instead of traditional guest favours, guests were gifted something far more personal: an artist painting portraits of attendees throughout the evening. It was such a thoughtful, intentional touch and ended up being one of the most talked-about parts of the wedding.


Tara’s dress change for the dance floor was a highlight, she stepped into a pearl mini dress paired with gloves that completely transformed her look. It was fun, bold, and instantly set the tone for the party portion of the evening.



The Vendors

The wedding struck a strong balance between architecture, experience, and personality. Clean design, layered moments, and details that felt deliberate from start to finish. Thank you to all the vendors who made this day absolutely perfect!
