Who are you, what you do and who you serve?

Hello! I’m Amanda, I’m the owner and artist at Wilde Fleur Co. We’re a floral preservation company who specializes in turning your wedding bouquet into something that you can cherish forever. 

What services do you offer? 

We offer a variety of resin pieces, as well as pressed glass frames! The options are truly endless for what we can create. Some of our most popular options include bookends, coasters, hexagon or square blocks, wall art, as well as serving trays. We have also had the opportunity to create incredibly unique pieces such coffee and side tables, as well as large scale art installations. 

How did you get started in the wedding industry, and what inspired you to start a flower preservation business?

I adore flowers! However, I can’t garden or keep plants alive to save my life. I began preserving flowers as a way to keep my home filled with flowers without the stress of keeping them alive! My love of preserving flowers slowly transitioned into preserving wedding bouquets as I became confident in my abilities to work with client special flowers. 

What do you enjoy most about working in the wedding industry and serving couples?

My favourite part about working in the wedding industries is the variety! I’ve worked with over 300 bouquets and they’re all uniquely beautiful. It’s amazing to take such a special piece of a couples day and turn it into a piece of art or home decor that they can cherish forever. 

What do you believe is the most important consideration when couples are considering flower preservation?

When considering investing in bouquet preservation I will always say the most important thing to consider is sentimentality. Are you a couple who love having reminders of the special events in your life? If you’re someone who loves having a tangible item to represent a cherished memory or day then bouquet preservation is an amazing option for you. 

What is the ideal timeline for couples to book your services?

The earlier is always best, but definitely 4-6 months before your wedding. I often end up with countless emails from couples after their weddings, and although I do my best to accommodate last minute bookings I usually have to turn such requests down. 

What is the best piece of advice you would offer to couples planning their wedding?

I think the best piece of advice I can offer is to plan your wedding for yourself and your partner. Most people will forget about the weddings they attend but you’ll always remember yours. Although it’s always nice to consider outside opinions, at the end of the day your wedding is supposed to represent you as a couple, so lean into that. 

Can you share your favorite wedding trend or design idea that you're currently excited about?

I’m all in on bold florals! Texture, bright colours, whimsical designs, wild flowers, love it all! I’ve also seen couples starting to incorporate fruit into their wedding flower decor and I’m obsessed! 

How do you stand out?

The main difference between Wilde Fleur Co. and a lot of other preservation artists is that we offer both high quality resin work as well as  pressed glass frames. This means that your options are endless. From bookends, large art installations, frames and shadow boxes, down to something as small as a bookmark, necklace or keychain. We can create it all.
