- Who you are, what do you do and who do you serve?
Oakland Estate is a brand new clear top tent wedding venue located near Brandon, Manitoba!
- How and when did you get started in the industry?
Owning a wedding venue was always a dream of mine, ever since I joined the wedding industry as a full-time wedding photographer. My husband and I made the leap of building a wedding venue in summer of 2019.
- Where are you based and where do you meet with clients?
We are located 20 minutes from Brandon, Manitoba. We normally meet with clients at our venue so that they get a chance to have a tour of the facility before making any decisions.
- What services do you offer?
The venue features an elegant clear top tent surrounded by beautiful oak trees. Couples and their guests will enjoy the ceremony location, pathway with bistro lights, fire pit areas around the patio and a fully furnished bridal cottage! The venue rental includes tables and chairs, wheelchair accessible washrooms, a bar, catering tent, clear tent, ceiling drapery with beautiful chandeliers and much more!
- What is the biggest trend you have seen since being in the industry?
The biggest trends that we have noticed since being in the wedding industry are cross back chairs and harvest tables which we have incorporated into our venue rental.
- How far in advance do your clients typically book you?
Clients book us 1-2 years in advance.
- Can you give us one of your industry tips that brides or grooms don't often know?
We highly recommend our couples hire a day of Wedding Coordinator or find a trusted family/friend to be the go-to person on their wedding day to make sure everything is going smoothly and on time.
- How do you stand out?
The way we stand out is our location. Our venue is situated amongst 24 acres of beautiful oak trees which creates a woodsy yet elegant feel.
